Advent Lessons and Carols 2013 + Video

Annunciation (Botticelli)Candles and choirs, violin and harp, trumpets and hymns—all combined for the 2013 version of Concordia’s “Advent Lessons and Carols”. Dr Wilhelm Torgerson led the 88 worshippers gathered in the seminary chapel this past Sunday at 4pm through responses, carols, and lessons appropriate for the Advent season. Special thanks goes to the choir members from Resurrection Lutheran Church, under the direction of Dianne Humann, who augmented selections from the Seminary Choir, directed by Dr Thomas Winger. A special feature this year was the work of two local composers: Phil Thomas and Father Keith Wittingham. An informal reception in the student lounge followed.
